Ellen Gray, ACC, PWD

As a highly effective coach, Ellen Gray draws on her extensive county government experience as well as more than 30 years in leadership, management, and employee development and training.

Her clients commend her ability to listen deeply, build trusting relationships, communicate for clarity, connection and understanding, and to create a “space” where they can gain new insights. Ellen partners with her clients, guiding them towards discovering their purpose, leveraging their strengths, and challenging their assumptions. Teams benefit from her ability to deepen employee engagement and encourage collaboration in an optimistic workplace.

Ellen has served in a variety of leadership roles including first and second-line management in the IBM Corporation. She became a small-business owner and worked in the world of workforce development and continuing education for both Northern Virginia Community College and George Mason University. She is currently on faculty with Leadership Fairfax.

Education and Certifications:

  • Professional in Workforce Development (PWD) certification from the University of Virginia
  • Associate Certified Coach (ACC) from the International Coaching Federation
  • Certified to administer MBTI and EQi 2.0.

On a Personal Note:

Ellen and her husband have lived in Springfield for over 40 years where they raised two amazing children and now enjoy playing with their grandson! She absolutely loves vacationing at her cottage in Charleston Lake, Ontario, Canada where she can indulge her passion of waterskiing. In her free time you will find Ellen walking her rescue dog, Covey, around Lake Accotinck and spending time with friends enjoying good food.
